The town of Badacsonytomaj is located in Hungary on the Badacsony hill northwest of Lake Balaton. It is 7 km from the slightly northerly located Tapolca. To the ‘poet of the Balaton’, Sándor Kisfaludy (1777-1844), his house reminds of the street of the same name. There is now a restaurant in it. Marked hiking trails run through the hilly area in the area. The railway line now turns north behind the Badacsony hill, and away from the lake, towards Tapolca. Beyond this city, the railroad runs back south, to and back along Lake Balaton, to the western tip of the lake and the town of Keszthely. (8055)
